The T. Family

South Asia

We are a family of 8, who by God's grace, have been commissioned as church planters to serve among the least of these. As a trained anesthesiologist Jonathan serves as the hospital OR director through which role we are able to cultivate deep relationships with co-workers and share the hope of the good news with destitute broken patients. In a team context we strive to build up the local church and see a disciple making movement in the greatest concentration of lostness on the planet.

The D. Family

Middle East

H does refugee aid work and has lived here since the beginning of March 2020, primarily focused on serving oppressed people groups fleeing war/poverty/persecution. Working to make sure everyone has access to food, freedom, and forgiveness! B has lived here his whole life and is committed to making access to the Good News more accessible to local people here. Through translating and proofreading texts into the local language, and going through seminary to one day be a pastor!

The Golds

India

The Golds have been an integral part of discipleship and leadership at The Summit over the last decade, and yet despite their burden for urban Denver, for many years they have felt the Spirit pressing them to engage with the Gospel among the least reached peoples of the earth. They steadfastly sought clarity from the Lord for specificity in their call over the past year, and in 2020, they received the direction they had been praying for! They began making preparations to uproot their family to go to India where God is calling them to partner in His work globally. Though they have experienced many challenges and changes along the way, in the midst of the ups and downs, the Lord has remained faithful to answer their prayers. In a few months they will be wrapping up their training in Virginia and heading abroad to work among indigenous peoples of India and by God’s Grace see many churches planted for His glory and their flourishing!

Z & E

North Africa

“We are Z & E! My wife is the rare local who grew up in Denver and has been a member at The Summit since 2017. I grew up in Montana and have been a member here since 2020. We met overseas at a conference while serving in different countries, and now the Lord has called us to serve in North Africa together! We both will be learning language and culture, building relationships, and serving the people in our community. I will join the team leader in his business & marketing endeavors, and my wife will use her nursing experience to volunteer with locals as well as refugees in the country. Our hope and prayer is that the Lord brings many North Africans to Himself and that we will be in a position to walk alongside and disciple men and women in the underground church. We need prayers for wisdom as we navigate relationships in a new context, prayers that the Lord continues to open eyes and soften hearts, and prayers for the local believers as it is risky becoming a follower of Jesus. We are excited and honored to be sent by our Summit family and to know we have all of you praying for us!

Mercy Nairobi

Nairobi, Kenya

Allan and M’Lynn Waruhiu and their family are following the Lord in a calling to go back to Kenya to plant a church in Nairobi where they desire to engage the culture with the gospel of Christ and works of compassion.

Mercy Nairobi Foundation was formed in 2021 out of a desire to see healthy Christian partnerships between Christians in Kenya and Christians in the USA. Often when people think of developing countries, they only think of poverty and a need for charity. Although these challenges do exist in a country like Kenya, Mercy Nairobi Foundation sees an opportunity to step into the challenges and partner with people to bring about long-lasting Gospel-driven change.

Trinity West Church

London, UK

Launched in 2013, Trinity West exists to plant the gospel in Shepherd’s Bush for the glory of God, for the good of this community and for the generations to come.

“During this period of lockdown in London, we would appreciate prayer for our outreach and ministry in the local community. Please pray for the appointment of an Assistant Pastor, who we are in the process of recruiting. Praise the Lord that we’ve been able to continue meeting on Sundays and newcomers have joined us. Please pray that the Lord would bring more unbelievers to us, leading to conversions and baptisms. Finally, please pray for an easing of the covid-19 restrictions here, so that we can meet in our homes again for our community groups, and so it would be easier to have fellowship and walk alongside one another.”

If you’d like to get in touch, email at office@trinity-west.org.

Casa de Garcia

Casa De Gracia

Guatemala

We have seen that in our city there are many evangelical churches; unfortunately they have a teaching that is not healthy, and we want to be a church centered on the gospel. We exist to exalt and proclaim Christ alone. Our slogan is "Abundant forgiveness for every sinner." We are a small community of families happy for the faith that we share. In April, we will celebrate 5 years of planting and in will celebrate six months of starting our face-to-face services again.

Support Global Church Planting

"One of the most amazing opportunities of my life has been to participate and spend time with our international church and missionary partners. There is nothing like seeing the big picture of what our God is doing on a world-wide kingdom level, and to see His hands and love for every nation and people-group. It has truly changed me and expanded my vision of God even in my own life here in our city." (Mark Henderson)

Youth Mentorship

"Save Our Youth is an organization that connects at-risk kids in Denver with mentors who can be a consistent and steady presence in their lives. Many of these kids face poverty, homelessness, and broken families, and being a mentor is an opportunity to love them and meet them in those challenges. I’ve been a mentor to a teenage boy for the last 3 years, and it’s a huge honor to walk beside him week by week. God asks us to love others as He loves us, and Save Our Youth provides a tremendous opportunity to do just that.” (Sam Metzger)

Jail Ministry

“Side By Side (SBS) exists to break the cycle of incarceration so that both individuals and communities can flourish. SBS believes each person is capable of a fresh start and that having a supportive set of relationships is key to a new beginning. Pre-Covid, SBS offered in-jail classes for men and women to re-examine their own thinking and worldview, and what first steps are necessary to begin that journey toward a flourishing life. After release, we offer life coaching to each individual who chooses to participate as they begin to take those steps and encounter obstacles that would have stopped them in the past.” (Ruth Dameron)

Foster Care

Project 1.27's mission is that there would be a family waiting for every child in need. If you are unsure if foster care would be a fit for your family, or how else you can get involved to help children in our very own neighborhoods, Project 1.27 is a perfect place to start. They are an incredible resource to answer your questions, equip you to serve, as well as encourage and guide you along the way. Their gospel centered, community minded & trauma informed training alongside other followers of Jesus was such a gift to us as we started our foster care journey. (Rachel T.)

Foster Care

"Hope and Home is an invaluable ally to those pursuing and navigating the overwhelming maze of foster care. The outstanding training and support they provide for parents, I wish, even non-foster parents could experience to be better equipped in nurturing relationships with young people. Do not go on this journey alone, because Hope and Home has already paved a way with decades of experience they are generous to share." (Andy Kinomoto)

At-Risk Adults

“The CrossPurpose mission statement is to abolish relational, economic, and spiritual poverty through career and community development. They set out to learn what it really means to "love our neighbor." I have gotten to know and grow from people who come from different cultural, social, and economic backgrounds. It has given me a wider view on the beauty that is humanity.” (Daniel Hooks)

At-Risk Communities

"Mission 98 brings church to apartment complexes throughout the greater-Denver area. We get to introduce Jesus to our friends in these communities that would otherwise have no connection to a church family. God has immensely blessed me by the relationships I've made in our apartment communities, and I'm constantly learning more about Jesus and his heart for unreached people right here in my backyard." (Kaitlin Noser)

At-Risk Families

CarePortal brings faith and government entities together to bring the needs of children and families in crisis to the attention of local churches. Child welfare workers uncover the needs. CarePortal makes local churches aware, giving them a real-time opportunity to respond.
