Theological Distinctives
We hold to the historic essentials of the Christian faith and seek unity around what matters most—Jesus and His gospel. Every church, though, carries distinct convictions. Ours are shaped by how we’ve come to understand Scripture and how we sense God leading us to live as His people here in Denver.
These theological distinctives clarify what we believe, how we lead, and how we practice life with Jesus together. They’re not just ideas to debate, but truths that form our community and call us deeper into the way of Jesus. We also recognize that many of these areas carry deeply personal implications for people’s lives. If you’d like to talk more, our staff and elders would love to hear from you.
Men and Women in the Church
We believe God created men and women equal in essence, dignity, and value—yet with distinct, complementary roles in marriage and the church. As it relates to the church, men and women are both called to serve and lead in various ways (Romans 16:1), and to teach in various ways (Colossians 3:16), but the office of pastor/elder is reserved for qualified men, called by the Holy Spirit and affirmed by the church (1 Timothy 3; Titus 1).
The Gifts of the Holy Spirit
We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit that we see on display in the New Testament are still active within the life of the church.
Sexuality, Marriage, & Cohabitation
We believe God created us as male and female and designed marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman. Sex is a gift from Him, to be practiced within the covenant of marriage.

Plurality of Leaders
We are a Jesus-ruled, elder-led, staff-operated, and member-accountable church.
