Worship Team Auditions
We’re so glad you’re interested in serving with the Worship Team at The Summit. Together we help lead our church in prayer and worship - pointing people to Jesus through song, presence, and community.
Before You Audition
First steps
To serve on any team, we ask that you first attend Essentials - our one-afternoon class on vision, rhythms, and shared life - and be commissioned as a member of The Summit Church. We believe healthy service grows out of belonging and commitment: walking together in the pursuit of Jesus and joining in His call to proclaim His name in our city. If you’re already a commissioned member of our church family, you can move straight into the audition process.
Prepare Your Songs
Each role has a set of songs to learn for your audition. Take time to listen closely, practice with the recording, and get comfortable with the click track. These help us play and sing together with unity and excellence as we lead our church in worship.
We’re not looking for perfection, but to build a team shaped by preparation, musical ability, and a shared desire to see God move and build His church.

Schedule An Audition
You can audition at any time by setting up a slot with our Worship Pastor.
What To Bring
In-ear monitors or headphones (required for the audition - if you don’t own in-ears yet, bring any pluggable headphones)
We use in-ears on Sundays to hear the click track, cues, and one another clearly. They help us play with unity and keep the focus on leading worship.
Drummers & Keyboardists: use Summit’s stage instruments (bring your own drumsticks)
Guitarists & Bassists: bring your own instrument and picks (¼ inch cables + amps provided)
Location
The Summit Church, 3300 Larimer St, Denver, CO 80205
Audition Day
Arrive a few minutes early to settle in and adjust your in-ear mix. During your audition, we’re looking for preparation, musical skill, and comfort with the click track and cues. Afterward, we’ll share feedback and talk through what comes next.
Next Steps
Within a week, our Worship Pastor will follow up with you about your audition and the path forward.
We’re grateful for your interest in serving. Our Worship Team is a family of volunteers who use their gifts to help make disciples of Jesus - building every part of life around Him.
